WIN – Marriage equality at last!

Queensland and Australia have overwhelmingly said “Yes” to marriage equality, following the postal plebiscite result announced in November.

The Queensland Union movement was proud to stand, rally, wobble board, call, advocate and lobby with our LGBTIQ+ members on the right side of history in calling for a “Yes” result.

LGBTIQ+ Australians should never had to suffer this process, started by a cowardly LNP.

LGBTIQ+ Australians suffered abuse, violence, taunts, and public statements diminishing their humanity. No one deserves that.

To all LGBTIQ+ members, Queensland Unions says “Equality is Union Business” and “We’ve got your back”.
